EMMA's Story...
Meet EMMA! This gorgeous gal is like part Collie, part Shelty with beautiful markings and wonderful ears. Emma is about 2-3 pounds and weighs 32 pounds. She seems very comfortable on a leash, so it's likely she did have a family before winding up in a high-kill shelter. Emma is in a pack with 5 other dogs similar in size and age and does just fine. She is playful and loves her pack mates. She enjoys the attention from our volunteers and rescue staff and seems always to be in a happy, upbeat mood. She can be shy at first, but she does open up quickly. Emma is crate trained and ready for a home of her own.

She is available now, and can be adopted before we arrive at PetSmart in Indianapolis on Saturday, June 25th. You must have an approved application first, and our dogs adopt out quickly before each event, so please complete an online application, which you can find on on our website at http://www.tracysdogs.com/adopt/Online_Adoption_Application.html. There are NO in-store, same day adoptions so please apply if you’re interested.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

EMMA, a Monroeville Collie/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in Monroeville, or seeking a Collie/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog from a breeder in Monroeville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Monroeville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Monroeville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Collie/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Monroeville paves the way for another one to be saved.
