Rocky's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Rocky's Story...
This big nerdy nugget is Rocky. He is a 2 1/2 year old Dutch shepherd / bull terrier mix. His former family got him when he was 2 months old and chained him in their backyard. They no longer wanted him because "he got in the way." They were going to give him to an auto shop where he'd be a junkyard dog. We couldn't turn our backs on this guy.

Good with all people and especially LOVES kids of all sizes. He'd make a great nanny dog. Good with dogs. He's great on leash and LOVES to walk. Not hyper and not a barker. He's house trained and crate trained. He is in great shape now and is 50 pounds. He's just handsome and sweet as can be! Neutered, chipped, vaccinated.

We are a 501c3 non-profit organization. Adoption process includes an adoption contract and home check. Adoption fee for dogs are $300 - 500 and for cats are $175. All of our animals are fixed, vaccinated, and chipped.

If you are interested in adopting or have further questions, please fill out the application at LAAR.ORG under the Adoption Process page.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocky, a Los Angeles Dutch Shepherd/Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dutch Shepherd/Bull Terrier for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Dutch Shepherd/Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dutch Shepherd/Bull Terrier breeders who help with Dutch Shepherd/Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
