Meet Shadow!

Shadow is a 10 month old orange tabby who came to us from a high-kill shelter where she was surrendered by her former owner. She was terrified when we first got her and had a hard time adjusting to her new life. Several weeks after joining her foster family, Shadow gave birth to a single kitten; nobody had even known she was pregnant! Now that her kitten is weaned, this young momma cat is ready to find her forever home with a family who will never leave her behind again! Shadow can still be a little bit skittish in new surroundings and may take some time to warm up to new people, but after only a day or two, she does settle in and quickly becomes the center of your world! This cutie pie adores the people she trusts and will do anything for attention! She is a huge snugglebug and has an awesome purr (which she uses quite a lot!). Shadow is also very much a kitten herself still and loves to play - her favorite games are the interactive kind, where she can spend time jumping at feathers or chasing toys that her human pals throw for her! We think Shadow would do okay with children so long as they knew to respect her space and didn't corner her somewhere (she can get very stressed out when confined). Shadow also does well with other cats given an appropriate introduction and will make a wonderful new pal for a family willing to give her a warmup period! If Shadow sounds like the girl for you, fill out an application today!: http://www.waveanimalrescue.org/adopt.htmlIf you are interested in meeting or adopting this cat/kitten, please fill out our application here: http://www.waveanimalrescue.org/adopt.html .

About Wave Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Wave Animal Rescue was created in September 2014. We are a small but growing home based foster group of dedicated volunteers.

All Wave animals are spayed or neutered and up to date on tests and vaccinations prior to adoption. Aside from these usual veterinary costs, we also incur vet bills for special needs animals such as Frosty, the little kitten who came to us blind, pregnant moms such as Lady Jane and their litters and other needs that occur.

We are always looking to add to our volunteers, whether it be new fosters, volunteers to help with adoption events, fundraising and administrative help. Donations of crates, blankets, cat food (canned and dry), cat toys, cat litter or cash are always greatly appreciated. If you would like your donation to go towards the care/vet bill of a specific cat, we will make that happen.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process starts with our adoption application which can be filled out here: http://www.waveanimalrescue.org/adopt.html.

Once the potential adopter's application is received and approved, it will be forwarded to the foster parent of the cat/kitten that the adopter is inquiring about. The adopter will be contacted within three business days regarding the status of their application and/or to set up a meet and greet.

If the meet and greet goes well and the adoption is approved the adopter will need to agree to and sign our adoption contract, sign a disclosure form, and pay our $125.00 adoption fee. The adopter will also receive a copy of the vet records of the adopted cat.
