Velcro's Story...
"Hi there, my name is Velcro. That's because I can attach and stick like Velcro to whomever shows me affection or love. I'm a 3 year old black and white male Chihuahua mix and weigh in at around 10 pounds. I just love being with you and nothing else matters. I love toys, but I mostly love my humans. I'm a little skittish and fearful with people at first, but I can warm up quickly once I get to know you. I get along with all dogs, both big and small. Give me a chance, provide me a forever home and most important of all, give me your love and I promise you I will be there for you through both good times and bad. I will love you forever. And not to brag, but don't you just love my cute little signature under bite??? If you would like to make me part of your family, please complete an online application at www.lapdogrescue.org and be sure to include my name, Velcro, at the top."

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Velcro, a Tijeras Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Tijeras, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Tijeras.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tijeras already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tijeras breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tijeras paves the way for another one to be saved.
