I'm Skippy! Isn't that the sweetest name? It goes along with my personality. I was born at Unto You It Is Given Rescue! I love to be the center of attention! I do all kinds of fun things like run in circles in the backyard and play with toys that squeak. I can dance and give hugs. I am housebroken and leash trained… I love to go for a walk, but after that I am ready to chill out and cuddle with you. I am great with all kinds of other dogs, but not so great with cats, they scare me! I am a sweetheart, however I do believe in protecting my home and family. Even though I like to play with other dogs outside, I think I would be okay having a home by myself with my family. I would be a great match if you have kids who are age 5 and up. If you think I might be the one for you, I am looking for a forever home of my own.

About Unto You It Is Given Rescue, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

Unto You It Is Given Pet Rescue's mission is to aid homeless, abandoned and neglected cats and dogs, to nurture them in the foster care of volunteers, to provide veterinary care and socialization, and to place them in permanent loving and responsible homes. Unto You It Is Given Pet Rescue also works to decrease the population of homeless dogs and cats through its spay/neuter programs. Unto You It Is Given Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization founded in 2000 by Leo Porter who saw the terrible state animals were kept at a "no-kill" animal shelter. Dismayed at the terrible living conditions of the animals there, he left to establish a rescue group to properly care for cats and dogs in need, and find them safe and loving homes.

Unto You It Is Given Pet Rescue is a small group of volunteers that fosters dogs and cats until they are adopted. Some animals are fostered by group members and outside volunteers, while other animals are housed at local houses. The animals come from various places. Some come from owners who are no longer able to care for them. Others are taken from shelters, yet still others (many others) come from the streets. Those rescued from the streets often arrive sick or injured, and are subsequently treated by veterinarians. We have great success finding homes for puppies and kittens as well as older animals and those with special needs (such as blind and handicapped cats and dogs).

Come Meet Our Pets...

We have adoption events almost every weekend. Appointments can be made by the foster home or take place at our scheduled Meet & Greet events. Please submit an application if you would like to meet a pet. Please do not email us about meeting a pet if you have not submitted the application. Most of our foster homes are in San Diego County or southern CA.

Our Adoption Process...

All adoption donations are tax deductible. For dogs, adoption donations range from $175-300. Some of the purebred or "designer" dogs (non-shedding) tend to be at the higher range. The donation for most of our cats and kittens is $80. The donation for purebreds such as Siamese, Persian, Himalayan and other "exotic" cats, including those of mixed breed that show the dominant characteristics of a purebred, may range from $100-$150.Our pets are examined by a veterinarian, spayed and neutered (when age appropriate), provided with appropriate vaccines and micro chipped. Your adoption donation helps cover expenses for future pets that we will save.
