Important Note

Malia is best friends with Pepper. Please adopt both of them so they can stay together!
*please not she is part of a bonded pair!

This little angel is named Malia and she is in need of her own angel. Malia is a 1 year old Shih Tzu/Chi mix (Shituahua) that weighs about 10 pounds. She came from a terrible hoarding situation where she was not socialized much but once she gets comfortable in a new place she becomes quite cuddly and happy. As you can see, she loves her foster mama. Malia needs an angel because she is scared of strangers and will hide from them so it takes a special person to look beyond that and see what a special pup she is. She does great with other dogs and loves to play. She is quite bonded with another little female, Pepper, from the same hoarding situation and we assume she is Malia's mom. We would really like to adopt them out together. She has shown no aggression despite her tough beginning. She is house trained but will probably have some accidents while figuring out a new place. Malia has been spayed, vaccinated and chipped. She is HW -. One by One Pet Rescue is a local 501c3 non profit. We require her to be an inside dog and to have a house with a yard. Due to her timid nature, no young kids, although she has done great in a house with an active 9 year old.

About One by One Pet Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

The Carolina Dog Rescue and Conservation Project was created to protect the free-ranging Carolina Dog.

We have several pervasive goals

1.Provide a hub for prospective adoptive families to find Carolina Dogs in need of homes

2.Locate populations of free-ranging Carolina Dogs in the Americas

3.Raise awareness and educate the public about these rare and elusive native dogs.

We have a beautiful 10 acre facility in Caldwell, TX dedicated to the rehabilitation and preservation of Carolina Dogs and other primitive breeds.

Our Adoption Process...

We require a contract as well as an adoption fee and screening. A fenced yard and exercise is a must.
