Flo's Story...
Flo and Fuzzy are two of the most stunning kitty girls! Nearly solid white, their fur is super soft and fluffy, making them extremely huggable. They are a vision to behold – mesmerizing to look at with bright green eyes amid the “marshmallow fluff” of their fur! Both kitties love to play with their toy mice, feather wands and the “red dot,” and it’s such fun to watch them leaping high in the air to catch “da bird.” When they are all tuckered out, they retire to their cozy bed where they groom each other with a good kitty bath and mani-pedi – totally precious to watch!

Flo’s fur is just a tiny bit fluffier than her sister, who has a very slight gray stripe shadow on the top of her head. This subtle “beauty mark” led her foster family to nick-name her Gorby (as in Gorbachev)! The girls have a very healthy appetite and have grown to love their salmon and rice dinners above all else. As you might imagine, they have grown quite attached to each other and would like to be adopted into the same household, since they must have another playful pet as a companion. They love people and other cats alike and will make a great addition to a family.

Flo and Fuzzy were born the end of March 2016, and they hope to be in their forever home by Christmas! They have been spayed, tested negative for FIV/FLV, and have all vaccinations appropriate for their age.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Flo, a Merrifield Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Merrifield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Merrifield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Merrifield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Merrifield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Merrifield paves the way for another one to be saved.
