Sweet skiddles came into the shelter half starved. She was sick and malnourished. Bchs pulled her immediately and rushed her to the vet. She is now well, putting on weight and loving.life. Her hair is now growing back thanks to the good care her foster is giving her. She gets coconut oil rub downs which she loves! Skiddles is so enjoying her bed, her life, inside loving care and lots of love. She is such a sweet older girl that needs someone to give her the chance to thrive for the remainder of her days..she looks like she will be around a while longer! Would you be willing to love a dog just because they need it? Don't be surprised if you gain so much in response!skiddles has so much love to give..she's such a dear! About Blount County Humane Society

About Our Rescue Group...

The Blount County Humane Society is a No-Kill organization whose goal is to build a No-Kill shelter in Blount County TN.

Our Adoption Process...

We require that our adoption contract be filled out and signed, then you will be contacted by the adoption manager or other Humane Society Volunteer. We will check your personal and veterinarian references, and then visit your home to determine if the accommodations are appropriate and in the best interest of the pet you want to adopt. All of the pets we adopt out are up to date on their shots, and are spayed or neutered. Dogs are heartworm negative and on preventative medicine. Cats are feline leukemia and aids negative. We strive to adopt out healthy and well balanced animals, but from time to time if health problems exist, medications are needed, or there are behavioral issues, this will be fully disclosed prior to adopion.
