Meet George! He is an extremely friendly, loving dog who enjoys spending time with people and other dogs. Like many Labrador Retrievers, George is an energetic dog who will need regular exercise to stay happy and healthy. While George is excellent with dogs of his size, he has not been tested with small dogs, cats or young children. George would be an excellent companion for an active individual or family who is looking for a happy pup to share trips to the beach, jogging, time at the dog park, or games of fetch! He is smart, and will likely excel at training based on positive reinforcement (especially treats!). Please call Maria to inquire: 786-205-6865.

About Born Free Pet Shelter

About Our Shelter...

Born Free Pet Shelter is a No Kill 501(c)(3) non-profit dog rescue organization that has been helping homeless dogs since 1980. Located on a beautiful 5-acre refuge in the Redlands of South Florida, Born Free rescues dogs in distress and offers them the chance to lead happy and healthy lives.
We are currently responsible for over 160 dogs, ranging from puppies to seniors.
With the help of generous donations and the tireless efforts of our volunteers, we provide the love and care that they deserve.
Some of our dogs will live out their days at the shelter, but we have so many that would make wonderful companions if given the chance.

Our Adoption Process...

At the time of adoption it is essential that a fee be charged as it will be used to feed and maintain the animals that are housed at our shelter. The adoption fee includes DHPP vaccine, rabies vaccine, microchip and sterilization. We do a home check prior to approving any adoption.
