Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We cannot understand why Mabaline (Mabel) is still with us at AHS. Mabel is a sweet, older girl who deserves to be a spoiled princess. Mabaline had a gloomy start to her life. She was picked up by Muncie Animal Control from an owner who had Mabel at the end of a chain for her entire life. She would bark endlessly for attention and affection until she went hoarse. Then when her voice came back she started all over. Our Director met Mabel at the Muncie Animal Control center and fell in love. She knew Mabel deserved a second chance and deserved to spend the rest of her life being spoiled. Mabel has now been with us over a year, still looking for her forever home.
Mabel has had to learn to be a dog and it took some time. However, she now knows the joys of belly rubs and a soft, warm bed. She loves to just hang out and snuggle. She also enjoys going for long walks or simply playing in the yard. She does well with dogs and has recently been tested with cats, which she tends to ignore. Does well with children. She is estimated to be 5 - 8 years old.
Mabel needs to have a routine and get daily exercise (through play or walks). We would love to see her in a home with a family where preferably she is not left alone too much (simply because she loves being with people). She would love to go for family walks and just hang out.
Mabel completed basic training with Special OPs K9 Academy located in North Webster, IN. She is house and crate trained, spayed and current on all vaccines.
Please! Please! Please! Consider giving Mabaline the forever home she deserves. This girl has so much love to give. She deserves to know what a lasting, forever home feels like.
