Hazel is a gentle and sweet, nine-month-old, female Teddy Bear Hamster looking for a loving guardian.

Hazel enjoys spinning on her wheel, chewing on her toys and stuffing her adorable cheeks with her favorite foods. While she is primarily active during the morning and evening, she tends to wake-up mid day for a snack and visit with her favorite people.

Hamsters need fresh food and water daily, and need their cages cleaned weekly. Since their life spans are short, two to three years on average, each day in a hamster’s life matters and they should be loved and enjoyed to the fullest. Hazel was given up by a teenage boy who begged his folks for a hamster, and then realized he really didn’t have time in his schedule to give her the love, care and attention she deserved.

Hazel is extremely social and incredibly fun to hold and watch play. Her diet is mainly pellets, supplemented with small amounts of fresh foods.

If you need a complete set-up including aquarium or wire cage, food, treats, litter, toys, hidey hut, water bottle and exercise wheels, that is available for $65. Teddy Bear hamsters must live individually as they will fight when housed together as adults.
