Gwen's Story...
Hi, I’m Gwen! Like most women, I like to keep them guessing about my age; there’s some debate with the volunteers over just how old I am because I still like to play fetch with a Frisbee, squeaky toy or tennis ball, and will win every time at “see how many times you can throw it.” If you’ve ever had a Border Collie, you totally understand! My favorite is my tennis ball and I never leave it behind. Walks, rides, adoption events …. It’s always with me.
I'm not only about playing though, I'm very bright as well and eager to please! I know heel, sit, down, stay, come and shake hands. I get along pretty well with dogs by just doing my own thing and I really don't mind cats at all.
I like car rides, going for walks, and to play in the yard, but would also be good at holding down a spot on the sofa or a big cozy bed (with my tennis ball).

As a Senior Dog, my Adoption Fee is reduced to $75.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gwen, a Savannah Collie/Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie/Chow Chow for sale in Savannah, or seeking a Collie/Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Savannah.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Savannah already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Savannah breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie/Chow Chow breeders who help with Collie/Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Savannah paves the way for another one to be saved.
