Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Tex. Tex is a year old male black and white smooth coated Border
Collie. Tex came us from Texas and was found and rescued by a good
Samaritan. Tex is heartworm negative. This is one happy boy who enjoys
meeting people. He is a great traveler as he was driven on many volunteer
transport legs to Phoenix. All volunteer transporters raved about his good
manners and personality. Transport this long is stressful for most dogs,
and Tex proved to be a seasoned traveler. He even enjoys and travels well
in an airplane, as he was flown to BCIN from Phoenix by Pilot N' Paws.
There are not enough good words to say about Tex. This dog exemplifies all
of the traits of this breed and has the best personality. He loves all
people, kids, dogs, and we are also told cats too. He also knows his
obedience commands and has good manners. He appears to be housebroken and
is crate trained. Tex is an athletic dog that will do anything you ask of
him, yet he has an off button and will be a total snug bug couch potato.
The ideal home for Tex is one that is active, as Tex does have above average
energy. In addition to consistent daily exercise, Tex is smart as a whip,
so he will require mental stimulation so that he does not get bored or
destructive. As Tex is a typical yearling Border Collie, he would be best
placed in a home that has previous BC experience who understands what it
takes to own this breed.
If you are interested in meeting our dogs, please fill out an adoption
application. We require a pre-approved application to be on file before any
meet and greets are scheduled. The electronic application can be found on
