CONRAD HAS AN ADOPTION PENDING. Conrad is a 2 year-old Shepherd/Lab/Boxer/Great Dane mix male (in other words a true Heinz 57!) who really deserves a break. He sat for a number of months at a local dog shelter and, as time went on, became more and more agitated in his kennel so that potential adopters walked right by him and no one asked to see him. Shelter volunteers were worried that he would eventually get so kennel-stressed that he would be euthanized, so they moved him into a boarding kennel for a few months where he could get more outdoor time to stretch his legs and play. Conrad came to Canine Lifeline recently to work on finding a permanent home and we’ve been very pleased with his demeanor. Conrad is a very sweet boy who enjoys meeting new people and is great with other dogs. He loves playing with toys and wrestling with other dogs. He settles down nicely in his crate after playtime. Conrad picked up crate-training quickly in his foster home, so in spite of having been iin a shelter for much of his life, should learn the housetraining routine in his new home readily. Conrad is quite strong on a leash so will need work in that area. We recommend using an EZWalk harness with him as he works on his leash manners. Whoever gives this boy a chance is going to be rewarded with a very loyal and devoted companion! Conrad weighs about 50 pounds and his adoption fee is $200. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you’re interested in Conrad. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. All of our dogs come to us from county dog pounds so we have no history on them. We also have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 4-5 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 24-48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
