Taryn's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Tyrna was rescued VERY pregnant from a high kill shelter. She delivered all her puppies (who have all found furever homes) and is now looking for a great home herself. She is good with cats, dogs and kids. She really is affectionate and craves human attention.

Tyrna is Heartworm positive and is being treated using the slow kill method.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Taryn, a Sanford Hound (Unknown Type)/Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type)/Pointer for sale in Sanford, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type)/Pointer dog from a breeder in Sanford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sanford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sanford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type)/Pointer breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type)/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sanford paves the way for another one to be saved.
