June Bug's Story...
My name is June Bug, and people say I'm cute as can be! I am house trained, crate trained and rarely bark. I will sleep quietly in my crate at night and enjoy being wherever my foster mom is. I play well with the other dogs in my foster home. Every now and then I want a toy all to myself, and at first I would let out a short growl when playing, but I'm doing better at sharing now. In fact, I enjoy playing tug of war with the other puppies! I can be very sweet and calm and still have moments of silly puppi-ness, too! There are lots of toys for me to play with at my foster home, so it's not very often that I try to chew on something else. But because the thought does cross my mind sometimes, my foster mom thinks I should probably be crated when not supervised by my new family until I settle in. I am a really great, sweet dog that is going to make an awesome new family member for a very lucky family! For more on how to make me yours, email info@habitat4paws.org.

**Because we require home visits, we only adopt locally to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. For more on adoption policies, please see the Adopt page of our website, www.habitat4paws.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

June Bug, a McKinney Collie/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie/Beagle for sale in McKinney, or seeking a Collie/Beagle dog from a breeder in McKinney.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in McKinney already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a McKinney breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie/Beagle breeders who help with Collie/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in McKinney paves the way for another one to be saved.
