Hunter (Neutered)'s Story...
"Hunter" is a handsome 2-year old male Chocolate Labrador Retriever/German Shorthaired Pointer mix who arrived at the HSOV on June 2, 2016 after a Good Samaritan found him in the Belpre Ohio area. "Hunter" has a chocolate brown short smooth coat, white/brown ticking on his chest, a long tail, and a darling face with a beautiful smile and short floppy ears. This young man has a friendly, outgoing personality and loves attention. He is an intelligent youngster who has already learned the 'sit' command :) "Hunter" met one of our shelter kitties when he walked through the lobby as he returned from his photo session, and he seemed a little curious (but cordial) to the kitty. "Hunter" weighs 45.6 lbs. He is now available for adoption since he was not reclaimed. "Hunter" was neutered on June 28, 2016 and was also given rabies vaccine.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hunter (Neutered), a Marietta Labrador Retriever/German Shorthaired Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/German Shorthaired Pointer for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/German Shorthaired Pointer dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/German Shorthaired Pointer breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/German Shorthaired Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
