Cleopatra's Story...
Hello my name is Cleopatra! I was brought into the shelter on 3-8-16 as an owner surrender because I was pregnant. I gave birth at the shelter to 6 kittens! Now my babies have all grown up and are ready to be adopted, but so am I! I am a very sweet girl, but since my hormones have changed around the pregnancy I haven't liked other cats lately...this might change in my future home once I am more relaxed but for right now I am not a fan. I LOVE getting attention from all the people that I can so I would do very well in a family. I am only 3 years old, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and spayed!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cleopatra, a South Haven Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in South Haven, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in South Haven.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in South Haven already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a South Haven breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in South Haven paves the way for another one to be saved.
