Patrick's Story...
Patrick is a very unique looking boy looking for a great home. Patrick was rescued from an overburdened pound in southern IL and transferred to Chicago in hopes of finding a forever home. He's about a 2 years old and appears to be some sort of Shepherd mix, possibly with Basenji. He weighs about 45lbs, so he's a great, manageable size; not too large and not too small. He's a very personable and friendly fellow and is a good all around dog! He loves children and he's also good with other dogs and is crate trained and is housebroken, he also knows basic commands like "sit". Patrick's adoption fee is $250. He will be neutered, wormed, vaccinated and microchipped prior to adoption. Please email animaladoption@hotmail.com for more info on Patrick.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Patrick, a Chicago Basenji/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basenji/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Basenji/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basenji/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Basenji/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
