Kali's Story...
We are the "Fantastic Five"!
Kali, Pippin, Tully, Napoleon and Mouse. We were saved from certain death. We were all living underneath an abandoned trailer infested with fleas, losing hair from malnutrition and getting to the age that our mother was trying to wean us, but we were to little to go in search and find our own food.

Well, the fleas are gone, the hair is growing back nicely and food, well it always seems to be there when we want it now.

We are all Chihuahua/Terrier mixes born approximately 7/1/08. We are up to date on shots, have all been spayed and neutered and are current on heartworm prevention. We would do best in a home without small children, but would love to go to a home with loving, caring adults.

Come on down to the shelter and see us, but look carefully since we are the smallest ones there, we’re easy to miss.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kali, a Baton Rouge Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) puppy from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
