My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Breed: Terrier mix
DOB: 2007
Sex: Neutered male
Weight: 15 pounds

George is a 9-year old terrier mix with a heart of gold. He was owner-surrendered to Animal Placement Bureau by an owner who couldn’t afford to care for him or his brother, Ozzie. George has no health issues except for seasonal allergies. He loves every dog he meets, but he can be timid around bigger dogs. He is always happy to make new human friends too, wagging his tail and scooting up close for attention. He has lived with cats, but his terrier tendencies come out sometimes when they run quick and he chases them. He is great with kids though he is sensitive when getting picked up, so small children will need to know his boundaries. He is a great listener, but is easily frightened so patience and softness are key with him. His favorite place is curled up on the back of the couch, but he’ll also snuggle on his foster mom’s lap if the opportunity arises.

He is crate trained and can be crated by himself or with Ozzie. At night, he sleeps in his foster mom and dad’s bed where he can get all the snuggles he wants. He gets up at 6am with the rest of the pack, but after he potties, he loves to sleep in for a few more hours. He isn’t food motivated, but he’ll do anything for praise from his human! George is great at walking on a leash and loves his walks.

He is a really wonderful, smart, affectionate dog.

George is required to be adopted with his brother, Ozzie. Although they aren’t biological litter mates, they have lived together for most of their lives. They are truly a pair and get very nervous when they are separated.
