My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Breed: Chihuahua
DOB: 2009
Sex: Neutered male
Weight: 6 pounds

Ozzie is a 7-year old spunky Chihuahua. He was owner-surrendered to Animal Placement Bureau by an owner who couldn’t afford to care for him or his brother, George. Ozzie has no health issues. He loves to meet new people and dogs. He does great with cats though they don’t seem to appreciate his friendliness. He is great with kids, but he can be a little territorial so kids will need to know how to read doggie body language. He loves being near his humans. He follows his foster mom anywhere she goes. He is crate trained and can be crated by himself or with George. At night, he sleeps in his foster mom and dad’s bed so he can be as close as he wants. He is very easygoing. Ozzie is great at walking on a leash and loves his walks. He is very outgoing and brave, but will defer to bigger dogs when he needs to. He is the alpha when it comes to his big brother, George.

Ozzie is required to be adopted with his brother, George. Although they aren’t biological litter mates, they have lived together for most of their lives. They are truly a pair and get very nervous when they are separated.

Our application can be found online at here.

Our adoption fee for dogs that are not seniors is $220. All dogs are spayed or neutered and up to date on vaccines and heartworm.
Our adoption process includes an application, personal and vet reference checks, and a home visit. We do not ship dogs under any circumstances.
We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check our front page for the dates of our next Pet Parade. Appointments outside of Pet Parade to visit our dogs are only available after an application has been filled out, and processing has begun.
Please be kind to our volunteers. E-mail inquiries will be answered much faster than phone inquiries; our phone number is a voice mailbox only.
