Max's Story...
This tiny ball of sweetness is Max, a 1 1/2 year old Brussels Griffon mix that came to us from our Newark facility looking for fabulous family of his own. Max had a family, but they turned him in when they could no longer care for him. It's obvious that Max is wondering what is going on in his life and why he isn't home anymore. He is a little sad and scared when he first meets you but he is anxious to crawl to you, sniff and lick you a little, then is happy to curl up in your arms so he feels safe. Max is a sweet and loving little guy that makes a friend for life. Once you have won him over, he barely will leave your side. He is very affectionate and well behaved, and he is an angel on a leash and for grooming too. Max is young and playful and when he relaxes, he wants to let his hair down and enjoy himself like the young pup that he is. Though he is happy to curl up in your lap for a snooze, Max also would love a family that will give him exercise and playtime too. He doesn't seem to mind other well behaved dogs and sniffs a cat and keeps on walking. Max will make a wonderful addition to any lucky family that will love and care for him the way he deserves to be. File#26306 6/2/16

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Max, a Forked River Brussels Griffon dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Brussels Griffon for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Brussels Griffon dog from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Brussels Griffon breeders who help with Brussels Griffon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
