My right ear is from my chihuahua side and the left one is from my shih tzu side. Sometimes my personality is more like a chihuahua and sometimes more like a shih tzu. Now my fur is the same thing! I was a matted mess and needed to be shaved down when I showed up the shelter but I do shed just a little bit – so if you have allergies to dogs, I might not work for you.
I do good with small dogs but I really don’t like the big dogs. They are too active for me to be comfortable and I hide in a doggie bed a lot when they are playing. I prefer to do my business outside but sometimes if the big dogs are out there, I don’t want to go out where they are and then I have had a few accidents but if you don’t have any big rowdy dogs, I will probably do fine.
I can be crated but I am not into chewing on things I shouldn’t so I am often left out of the crate.
I haven’t met any cats so I am not sure what I think of them. I have meet some small humans at adoption events and I didn’t mind them but since I don’t like most big dogs, I would prefer a home that is calm and doesn’t have a lot of active small human children.
In case you are wondering about my right eye, I will let you know that I was born with a micro ophthalmic one. It was infected and drained a lot because it didn’t work right and I couldn’t see out of it. When I got spayed, the nice vet just removed it so that I wouldn’t have pain there any longer and I would not have be on a lot of medications to always make it better.

Animal Placement Bureau's standard adoption fee is $220. Our adoption process includes an application, personal and vet reference checks, and a home visit. We do not ship dogs under any circumstances.
We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check our front page for the dates of our next Pet Parade. Appointments outside of Pet Parade to visit our dogs are only available after an application has been filled out, and processing has begun.
Please be kind to our volunteers. E-mail inquiries will be answered much faster than phone inquiries; our phone number is a voice mailbox only.
