Puggle, Peagle, Bug, or Buggle... however you say it, we call her Tillie! This cutie is a 3 year old Pug/Beagle mix weighing 30 pounds. True to her look, Tillie has mixed traits of both her Pug and Beagle ancestors. On one hand, she loves to cuddle up and show you how much she loves you while also teasing you with how adorable she thinks she is, PUG. On the other hand she is an independent girl who can entertain herself with squeaky toys and roaming around, nose to the ground, BEAGLE.
Tillie loves to play with her two canine foster siblings and is great with all dogs that she meets. Tillie is very friendly with new people as well, but would do best in a home with adults or grown children as she does prefer some quiet time. She loves to play with her ball, and although she loves the idea of fetch, she is still learning the bringing it back part, but that will come with some more practice. Tillie is leash trained, but still pulls when she catches a scent, BEAGLE, or comes to a complete halt, PUG - so bit more training and consistency may be required. Tillie has been training with a harness and has improved greatly, so a harness is recommended upon adoption. Tillie does very well in the crate and is very well behaved in the house.
Tillie is already spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, and current on preventatives. She is looking for a person or family to love and adore for the rest of her life. With so many wonderful things to say about Tillie, it is hard to believe that she is actually looking for a home.

PLEASE REMEMBER: The specific breed of any dog abandoned to
shelter is the best guess by seasoned rescuers in accord with our veterinarians.
Unless otherwise indicated, all Double Dog Rescue dogs have received the following before being available for adoption:
Thorough veterinary examination.
All routine annual vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP, Bordatella, Heartworm Test, Fecal Test, Deworming.
Spay/Neuter.
All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease.
VETTING NOTE: Double Dog Rescue completely vets our dogs thoroughly to the best of our knowledge based on communication with our Southern Vets. If anything is brought to our attention, we treat the dog. After adopting the dog, you will be responsible for following up with all vetting going forward.
HEARTWORM NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 5-6 months from the last Heartworm treatment.
