My name is Ruby and I have a rough time lately. You see, my human family was an elderly gentleman and his wife. He passed away, but before he died he made his wife promise to find a home for me. She had to go into an assisted living facility, but she kept her promise to him and refused to leave her home until she found a safe place for me to go. She found AAR and they were able to take me in. I’m very sweet but am a bit timid because I’ve been through so much. So while I came from a sad situation it could still have a happy ending when I find my new forever family. Please stop by AAR to meet me, I am a very special girl!

About Abandoned Animal Rescue

About Our Shelter...

Abandoned Animal Rescue is a no-kill dog / cat shelter and affordable spay/neuter~wellness clinic located in Tomball serving Northwest Harris and Southern Montgomery Counties in Texas. It is staffed by dedicated volunteers devoted to saving the lives of homeless and unwanted companion animals.

AAR believes all companion animals deserve to be treated humanely. Its mission is to end the unnecessary euthanasia of adoptable dogs and cats, to place them in homes for the duration of their lives, and to properly educate the public about responsible pet ownership.

All animals surrendered to the shelter are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, wormed; dogs are tested for heartworm and, if positive, are treated. The adoption fee is $100 for dogs and $50 for adult cats, $75 for kittens (< 1 year) . Purebred animals may be $200

All operating money for AAR comes from
clinic and adoption fees, donations, and fundraisers. AAR receives no government money.
