LUCKY is a sweet and fluffy senior female kitty who is white with a black mask, cape, and tail. She is about 10 to 12 years old. Lucky is a shy and timid girl, but once she feels safe, she absolutely adores being loved on. She is super sweet and rubs up against you to ask for pets. She rolls around on the ground and covers her face with her paws in a most endearing way. She is a little bit of a drooler, but it is not excessive. Lucky has a very gentle meow when asking for pets. She lived with her first owner ever since she was a kitten, but her owner is now in a nursing home and can no longer care for her. Lucky has been checked out thoroughly by a vet, and has had a blood panel and a complete dental performed on her. Other than an old eye injury which doesn't seem to affect her vision, Lucky is a very healthy cat with no current medical problems. She will need a quiet home with NO OTHER PETS, plus some time to adjust to her new circumstances -- but once she has settled in, she will reward her new owner with devoted and loving companionship. Her adoption fee is $60, which is strictly to help cover our costs. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed, plus you get a free vet visit. Lucky is currently in foster care; for more info, call Beth at (541) 255-9296

About West Coast Dog and Cat Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for companion animals of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette; PetCo by Valley River Center and Wags Emporium on Coburg Rd. WCDC works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. WCDC is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help WCDC save as many animal lives as possible.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our cats can be seen at Petsmart on Chad Drive and on Willamette St, at Petco near Valley River Center and Wags Emporium on Coburg Rd, seven days a week during normal business hours. We do have adoption counselors available on weekends or by appointment or from 11-4pm Sat.-Sun.

Our Adoption Process...

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. These documents are available through e-mail or at our adoption events. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the dog or cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, De-wormed, treated with flea medication, spayed or neutered, and cats are felv/fiv tested.
