I am in need of an experienced adopter, not good with kids, and not good with dogs.
Little Tiger Lady's Story...
This precious little tiger lady arrived at the shelter weekend of 5/20/16 with her two sisters, who went to their new homes on 6/4/16. They were all shy and frightened, all in need of social work, so the volunteers got to work bonding with the kittens and proving to them that we humans could be trusted and loved. They made remarkable progress in just two short weeks, but now this little lady is left by her lonesome. She is very easy to hold and love now, and is also very playful, though she is still the tiniest bit defensive in her cage. Once out of her cage and in loving arms, she purrs away, remembering how nice it is to snuggle. Because of this lingering anxiety, which will go away once she is in a home and no longer caged, we are looking for an adopter who has experience with such kittens, and a home with no dogs or small children.
The little tiger lady is approximately 8 weeks old as of 6/4 and has not yet seen a vet or been tested. There is no adoption fee, but a state-mandated $75 spay deposit is required to adopt her, and is fully refundable upon proof of spaying (cash or check payable to Town of Scituate only, please). For more information, email ClayvilleCritters@cox.net, call the shelter at (401) 647-7200, or visit the shelter during regular hours: Tue, Wed, Fri 7 to 11 a.m., Thursday 6 to 9 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
