If you feel you need some motivation to get your daily exercise, Cookie is the boy for you.
This bouncy, funny boy is ready to play fetch all day, and if you get tired of fetch, he'll gladly switch to playing chase games and keep away. He's a quirky, silly runner whose adorable play bows invite you to chase him all over the yard.
Cookie is a sweet, smart boy, too, who walks well on his leash and answers to the 'sit' command. Plus, he seems house trained.
He's had mixed reactions to other dogs and hasn't been observed with cats, so he may do best as the only pet in a home.
Although he doesn't seem to mind meeting new people in exterior settings, he can be territorial in a home with new human acquaintances, so he also may do best in an adult-only home. Pre-adoption training with our behavior team will be necessary so his adopter can succeed in introducing him to new people.
Cookie will need a little extra training effort, but it will pay off when he becomes well-adapted to his new home and can share that delightful, entertaining personality with his new family. All APA adoptions come with free behavior assistance through APA's behavior team, which will make sure he and his adopters have the training to ensure he has a great future in his new home.
And remember, when you adopt a dog from APA, you are saving not one, but two lives - the life of the dog you're bringing into your home, and the next dog APA can save in the adopted dog's place.
