My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This dog is being fostered in Dallas, Texas and must be adopted within the Dallas, North Central Texas or Oklahoma area.

NAME: Mindy
GENDER: Female (Spayed)
AGE: About 1 year
WEIGHT: About 6 pounds
DOGS/CATS: Good with other small dogs, Unsure on cats
CHILDREN: All adult home or home with older children (16 and older)

Meet beautiful Mindy. Mindy is a white Chihuahua that is as sweet as can be. We are excited to introduce her to the world and help her find a forever home.

Mindy came to CRT through another rescue group. She was pregnant at the time, and the other group had seen CRT's success in accepting pregnant Chihuahuas into our program, helping them through the birthing process, then getting both the puppies and
the Mommy adopted. They asked us to accept Mindy in to our program and do the same for her. We were glad to assist.

On March 12th, Mindy gave birth to four adorable puppies (Kip, Napoleon, Pablo and Fawn). Mindy was a GREAT Mom. She was gentle, and protective of her little ones. Mindy has such a sweet disposition, and it really came through as a Mom. The puppies are now eating solid food, and Mindy can now be adopted.

Mindy loves her people. She is a "velcro" dog and follows her people every where. She loves to follow her Foster Mom everywhere she goes (must be the two Moms bonding - LOL). But she loves her foster Daddy too! She is an equal opportunity lover! Mindy is also a huge cuddler. Mindy loves to sit on your lap and share loving moments with you. She also loves to crawl in bed with you and burrow under the covers. If you are looking for a cuddle buddy - Mindy will volunteer.

Mindy gets along fine with the other small dogs in her foster home. She mostly ignores the other dogs as she focuses her love on her humans! Mindy is also beginning to enjoy toys. Her favorite are the squeaky toys!

Mindy is very smart. She is completely potty trained (she has not had any accidents at all in her foster home). She is also crate trained, but she doesn't like being in there! She would rather be hanging around YOU.

Mindy is a good alert dog. If strangers get within 20 yards of your home, she will bark and let you know someone is coming. She is shy when she first meets people, but once she warms up, she wants to be your best buddy.

Mindy has a lite, white coat. She is only about 4 pounds and is fully grown. Because of her small size, we recommend an all adult home, or a home with older mature children (about 16 and older). She would be a great only dog, or she would be fine with other small dogs (she just won't play with them much!).

If you are looking for a loyal cuddling dog, Mindy could be a perfect match for your family.

Mindy is spayed, micro chipped, up-to-date on shots, HW negative and on heartworm prevention. She is ready to join a loving family - could that family be yours?
