I am looking for a good home for 1-year old Misha that would be ok with her health problems. When she was initially treated for heart problems by Dr. Rausch at Portland Veterinary Cardiology, she was given the grim outlook of a potential one-year lifespan. However, a year later, after treating her with medication daily, Dr. Rausch said she is doing very well and could potentially live for many years.

I already own 2 other pets, and as much as I love her, Misha is a foster. So I am hoping to find a loving home for her where she can continue being an indoor/outdoor cat with someone willing to giver medication every night. I realize this might be a tough prospect, given her short life expectancy, but I think it could happen.
MIsha is now just over a year old, and her medications regulate blood pressure to help her compensate for the heart issue. There is a full report on her cardio condition which will be provided on request.
Misha takes 3 pills every night. She used to eat them pretty easily if they were hidden in wet foods. She still sometimes does -although lately it's been difficult. So, wen she doesn't I just pick her up, and pop them into her mouth with down wet food.
Personality wise she is very very sweet and talkative. She gets along great with everyone she's met. I also live with a dog and they get along fine -I think In my first email I even included a picture of them on the couch together.
I think the ideal home for her would be some place she can be indoor/outdoor, where she will et her medicine at night, and where she'll have the company of another animal. I imagine a family would work fine too if the child was interested in playing with a cat. MIsha really enjoys getting attention.

About Cat's Cradle Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Cat's Cradle Rescue keeps cats out of shelters by offering an alternative to a cage - we are a no-kill FOSTER-HOME BASED rescue group that welcomes cats to our home environments as they await adoption.

Why Foster Care? Does your new kitty like children? Does she play with dogs or find other felines too uncomfortable to be around? Does he have consistent litter-box manners? Does he want to cuddle or perhaps his comfort zone is to be more independent. Many life-factors influence cat behavior and while genetics plays a role, we know that human touch, kindness, nurturing and consistency of care are non-negotiable requirements. We provide all of this.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Weekly adoption events are held at Petco – Beaverton on every Saturday from 12pm to 4pm. Feel free to drop by and talk to our adoption counselors.

Event Location: 4037 SW 117th Avenue, Beaverton, OR 97005

Our Adoption Process...

Adoptable cats and kittens are shown on our website with detailed profiles and pictures. To help our potential adopters learn more about the cat(s), we encourage them to first contact and discuss with the foster family if it might be a good fit. Potential adopters must submit an adoption application for review and evaluation. We also have onsite Adoption Events on a weekly basis. Our adoption counselors are present to handle the interview and adoption process.

Our adoption fee for single kitten is $120 and $200 for a pair. Adult cat adoption fee is $60.

We require that adopted cats be mainly indoor cats and no declawing is allowed. Adopters must be over 21 years old and sign a contract that lists out his/her responsibility as the cat's owner.
