Misty is a very sweet and affectionate 18 year old, 14 hand QH/Morgan pony mare. She is current on all vaccines, dewormer, hoof trims, & teeth float. She has excellent ground manners for grooming, leading, tying, and hoof handling. She is very good with children and former owner reports that she has a lot of experience as a children's trail, summer camp, & lesson horse. Misty is a very level-headed friendly, and kind mare with a huge heart of gold. Misty is in full boarding in Simi Valley, CA. We are happy to keep Misty for live in full retirement if I had a sponsored foster caregiver to give this sweet mare a happy forever life. Adoption fee is a minimum donation of $650 (more gratefully accepted as tax-deductible donation to help support our care of our other horses with special needs whom are 'unadoptable'). Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption fees range from $150 to $3000, depending upon the equine available for adoption. They are tax-deductible minimum donations, and go towards the care of our other horses in the rescue. There are no "free" horses adopted out through our rescue. Adoption application & initial screening process is required. Screened & approved adopters will be invited to visit our horses in person. Adoption agreement contract provided with right of first refusal between 12 mos. and lifetime of the horse, to the rescue. Adopters are provided with all written veterinary, farrier, & training records in writing. Adopters are provided with training tips through the HSUS Plan 4 Progress Training Program, and are invited to all rescue clinics & trainings, events & happenings, throughout the lifetime of the adopted equine. Adopters must be at least 18 years old, and must reside within the state of CA only. We do not adopt to Trainers for resale purposes. Permanent adoptive homes only.
