My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Spuds is approx 2 yrs old and 33 lbs. He is a terrier, possibly Wheaton terrier mix . Spuds is a great dog who loves people and other dogs. He loves company and bonds quickly, so would do well with someone that is home a lot or if they have another dog to keep him company. He knows "sit" and "down", so at some point, he was someone's pet, although he was just a stray when we rescued him. He seems to be fairly well house and leash trained and likes to spend time siting at your feet. He didn't make a sound when we had him in his crate for 40 minutes on the ride to foster care. He sleeps in a crate every night. He is strong on leash at first, but once he settles down which is fairly quickly, he is fine on leash. He is going to be a great companion for someone!!! He was treated for heartworms with the required injections and is now on a monthly preventative.

The total adoption donation of $475 and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. We also provide a coupon for a free wellness visit to the South Wilton Vet group if convenient for you. Some of our dogs are still in Texas in foster care. Our application is online at http://houstonshaggydogrescue.org/application-process/
