My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We are pleased to introduce Daisy, a pretty little girl born in September 2012 in need of a new place to call home. We were told she is a mix of Shih Tzu and Wheaten Terrier, although she is more Shih Tzu size at 15.4 pounds. Daisy had been purchased as a puppy and led a very sheltered life in an apartment with little socialization, leaving her unsure of strangers. It took a day or two for her to warm up to her foster mom and dad, but soon became very loving and affectionate with both of them so we know she will also adapt well to the right adopter. Daisy’s ideal home will be a quiet one without children. She is not a big barker so would be quite suitable for a condo or apartment. Daisy enjoys her walks but will need a little work to correct her reaction when strangers come too close – with time, we feel this is something that she can get over as she gains more trust and confidence when meeting new people. A quiet suburban neighbourhood would probably be best for her rather than a busy downtown urban one. Daisy is not the type of dog that will leap into your arms when you meet her but with a bit of patience, she will definitely become very attached to her new caregiver. Please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website if you think Daisy could be the dog for you.
