Flannery's Story...
Flannery was born in 2012.We took in Flannery in early summer of this year. A woman on the NE side of GR near Plainfield and Leonard had been feeding him for several months. She believed his owner had passed away and he found himself homeless. She said he was great with everyone in the neighborhood and just made his rounds every day. But she worried about him living outside 24/7 especially considering he was a friendly cat. We had room, so we took him in. Flannery is one of the few cats we have who can be adopted to a quality indoor/outdoor home. Many times cats who are accustomed to being outdoors, find it very frustrating to be kept inside all the time. He seems to be very tolerant of other cats and is pretty mellow.

Flannery, a Byron Center Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Byron Center, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Byron Center.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Byron Center already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Byron Center breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Byron Center paves the way for another one to be saved.
