My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Yoda...Master of Dogness! I'm about 6 years old. I've been told I'm a very handsome boy and I weigh 64lbs. A lot to love I am. I was rescued by BARC and treated for heartworms, but I'm now heartworm free.

I really like to play. My favorite things to do are to play tug with my foster sister, play fetch and chew on my Nylabones. I'd be perfect for a family who wants to do active things with me, but who also likes to spend time snuggling on the couch. I am quite the snuggle bug! Next to snuggling with my human I equally enjoy belly rubs. I take the term "aggressive snuggler" to a whole new level. Snuggle me you will.

I've been introduced to children around eight years old and up and I've done very well with them. I've been working on my manners, such as not jumping on people when I get excited, and I have definitely made great improvements. I'm a really smart boy and eager to learn. I know how to sit, shake & come when called. I'm working on some other commands and have just mastered "Say Please". I do need work on my leash manners when I see another dog while out on a walk. I must have been reprimanded for my excitement in a previous home, because now I'm what you call "leash reactive". My foster mom is working on that with me, and she says she can already see improvement. What can I say, I'm a smart boy and very willing to please when someone uses positive methods like my foster mom does! I take treats very gently, as well as being crate trained, and house trained. I'm living with my foster mom who has a five-year-old female dog and 2 kitties; I get along with everyone in the house. Sweet boy I am!

If you think I might be a good addition to your home, please put in application to adopt me! Adopt me you must!
