This is Elsi. She is my foster who came to me with a broken hip. Not sure how she was injured, but I'd suspect she was hit by a car when she was a stray. She has had her surgery and is doing much better now.
She is the most beautiful German Shepherd I think I've ever seen! She adores kids and wants to be a part of the family. She is a little clingy and she wants to be right by your side with you. She is good with the other dogs she lives with, but is a little bit slower to warm up to dogs she doesn't know. Her foster mom is working on her socialization skills and knows she has great potential! Elsi is good around the dog Savvy cats in the house. She is crate trained, potty trained, spayed and UTD on shots and rabies. She would thrive in a house with GSD experience and someone willing to take time and enroll her in training classes, as she loves to have a 'job' to do.

About Ozzies Pound Puppies

About Our Rescue Group...

Ozzies Pound Puppies is an all breed dog rescue based in Concord, CA. Our volunteers are committed to rescuing unwanted and abandoned dogs from the public and from shelters. Ozzies is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that receives no government funds. You can help make a difference for a shelter dog by fostering, adopting, volunteering or donating.

Every day, hundreds of dogs are euthanized in shelters across the nation. City and county shelters are overrun with stray and surrendered dogs and have run out of space, this is why they have to euthanize dogs. Dogs are only given a short time to be adopted and then they get put down. Our Rescue will take in dogs that have run out of time at the shelter and find homes for them, thus freeing up shelter space and finding adoptable dogs a new family.

Our Adoption Process...

All dogs adopted are up to date on shots, dewormed, microchipped and fixed. We will assist in introductions to other family members, both human and furry ones. Our adoption fee is $275.
