The Dog Liberator is a foster-driven organization dedicated to identifying high-quality dogs and placing them in foster homes to avoid the trauma often associated with shelters and pounds. While in these homes, the focus is on care and training to turn them into well-balanced pets that can be adopted by loving people.

You can help reduce the number of pets that are euthanized every year-Please, Spay and Neuter!
This poor sweet girl was abandoned by her family. They moved away, and left her behind to fend for herself. As you can see her coat is severely matted (you will notice she has been shaved due to this), and the light has gone out of her eyes. As we all know, dogs are stronger and more forgiving than most human beings. With love and care, we can help her regain her health and her trust in people, but we need your help. She needs medical care and a forever home. If you can help us with either, check out our website for ways to donate and adopt. Read more about her Here: http://thedogliberator.com/macaulay/

You'll receive a copy, too, at to help you keep track of which pets you've inquired about, and which shelters and rescues you've emailed.
NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter! Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures, on the pet's details page on Adopt-a-Pet.com.
