Matilda's Story...
Matilda is a 4-5 year old, spayed, Redtick Coonhound mix hoping to start a happily ever after with someone who believes family is forever.

This 50-pound pup is a goofy girl that is house trained, crate trained, and adores people of all ages. Matilda is a very sweet, medium-energy girl with a goofy & playful personality.

Matilda will bark at & chase cats, squirrels and rabbits so she would not be a good fit for a family with cats or small critters. She also gets car sick so she wouldn't be a good fit for someone who likes to take their dog everywhere.

Matilda has a strong prey drive so she is not recommended to families with cats.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Matilda, a Kimberton Redtick Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Redtick Coonhound for sale in Kimberton, or seeking a Redtick Coonhound dog from a breeder in Kimberton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kimberton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kimberton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Redtick Coonhound breeders who help with Redtick Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kimberton paves the way for another one to be saved.
