Rocky's Story...
Okay. I know black kittens are usually the last ones picked and I'm also a little shy at first. But I'm very optimistic. I'm a very good boy. After I get to know people, I'm super sweet. I love to be held and petted while I purr and look into your eyes. I love people. People saved me and my brother and sisters when something happened to our mom. I know what it's like to be cold, hungry and scared. I want to live with caring people who will never let anything bad happen to me again. I love playing with my brother and sisters or just stretching out for a nice nap when we get tired. Lots of kitty toys and maybe a cat tree would be great too. I'm not demanding, just hopeful. I went through bad times when I was tiny but I'm a fighter. I survived. Now I'm just hoping for lots of fun and interaction in a forever home with people who love me and at least one other kitty to play with. I'm sometimes a little too trusting and I've never been around dogs, so please be careful when you introduce me to a family dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocky, a Scottsdale Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Scottsdale, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Scottsdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Scottsdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Scottsdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Scottsdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
