Cosmo ( Punch )'s Story...
Chrissy (Judy) and Cosmo (Punch) came to us about a month ago in terrible shape. They were suffering from severe demodex mange and then broke with parvo and a horrible upper respiratory infection. They are healthy now and looking wonderful. Chrissy (Judy) is a little rat terrier mix with the cutes little nubby tail. She's around 10-15lbs and 8-12 months old. She's more outgoing and more independent. She's great with other dogs of all sizes and just a complete sweetheart. Cosmo (Punch) is a border collie mix (maybe)!? He's around 30-35lbs and 8-12 months old. He's still timid with new people and new situations but opens up once you gain his trust and it doesn't take that long. He's such a sweet guy and his love is well worth the extra patience he may require. They are utd, hw neg and spayed an neutered. They did come to us together but can be adopted separately. They do just fine apart and have actually bonded with others in their foster home.

All dogs have a $150 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cosmo ( Punch ), a Grand Bay Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Grand Bay, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Grand Bay.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Bay already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Bay breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Bay paves the way for another one to be saved.
