For those who are aware of the search: I AM NOT FREDDIE. My name is Max and I would love to find a home with people as dedicated to their dog(s) as the people who are still looking for Freddie. I was surrendered to a local shelter; the person who was supposed to love me said that he didn't have time for me any more. I really don't understand as I was an outside dog and I really didn't demand much. But my life is much better now as my foster mom lets me live inside the house and I go outside to do my business and hang out with my other dog friends.

When I came to the shelter, they found out that I was infested with heartworms! I'm so grateful to a small group of people who donated money so that my heartworm infestation could be treated and eliminated. Again, I don't understand as heartworm preventative is SO much less expensive than these treatments, three injections I've had to have! Oh well, it's all over now. My injections have been completed and now I'm just taking it easy for a month or so to make sure all those nasties clear out and don't cause me any problems. So far, I really haven't noticed any problems; they tell me it was a light case so yay!

I came into the shelter at 105 lbs, WAY overweight. I am now a very handsome and healthy 83 lbs. I'm 7 -8 yrs old and a happy, friendly guy although I don't love it when people rush up to me and try to pat me on the head, I guess I'm just not used to that kind of attention. But I am learning to meet strangers politely and I really love my foster mom. She feeds me twice per day! I love food! And treats! I love them so much that I'm having to learn to not grab them so I probably would not be good in a home with small children. I'm good with other dogs and cats too!

I am current on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, and done with those heart worms! My Adoption fee is $150. Please email about me so that Foster Mom can send you an application for my adoption. I am ready for a home of my own. Doggy & kitty friends would fine!

THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us.We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!
