CHARLOTTE - (Perfect Companion!)
She was picked up as a stray in Aventura - no collar, tags or micro-chip. We believe her to be a Cairn Terrie/Yorkie mix, but who knows? And who cares? She's been spayed, thoroughly vetted, has been given a dental, and a microchip. Doc says she is about 7 years old and she is in great health. She is very sweet, and full grown at about 14 lbs.
She is not a yapper - only barks to tell you she is hungry--- or sees a dog she doesn't care for. She is pretty independent - sometimes she will sit on your lap or sleep with you, and sometimes not.
But she IS a bit quirky. She is currently in my home – I have 2 personal dogs and 4 foster dogs. She would be perfectly OK being the only dog as she does not interact with the others. UNLESS there is food – and then the “street” in her comes out… But she backs down when corrected.
She is sweet – a little afraid of men who tower over her. It takes her a little bit of time to get to know them.
She is independent – not clingy at all. In fact, she had been adopted and was returned because she was NOT needy!
She is housebroken and dog friendly - but doesn't really play with or interact with other dogs. Not sure about cats.
Adoption fee: $250
Adoption fees are applied towards the vet bill: Exam, blood tests, vaccinations, fecal, worming, spay/neuter, and microchip. There is rarely anything left over, but if that happens, the monies get applied to the next or previous pet - who may have had to have an x-ray, be groomed or have a dental.
