Little River's Story...
Little River is absolutely adorable! She looks like a lab, but in a petite body!

She was rescued from a high kill shelter in western Tennessee. Born around 11/15, this little lady is still just a puppy.

She is a bit shy at first, but loves to be petted and is longing for love and that special person to adore. She was so scared in the shelter, but once she arrived at her foster home, she settled right in and played with all the other dogs and warmed right up!. She also loves children and is fine with the cats. Everyone who meets her loves her!

Please email for questions or submit and application and one of our adoption coordinators will contact you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Little River, a Naugatuck Labrador Retriever/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Beagle for sale in Naugatuck, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Beagle dog from a breeder in Naugatuck.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Naugatuck already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Naugatuck breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Beagle breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Naugatuck paves the way for another one to be saved.
