found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, and up to date with shots.
Hailey is the name of this lovely young adult rough-coated Collie. She is a spayed female that is current on all vaccines, heartworm negative and as happy and healthy as a big puppy can be. She is poised to celebrate her 2nd birthday on August 1 and would like to be settled happily in her forever home in time to blow out the candles on her cake. Hailey has boundless energy and curiosity and she needs the kind of life that will fulfill her and make her joyful. To that end, we will not consider potential adopters that don't meet some pretty specific requirements. Hailey must have a wonderful doggie playmate or two, some friends she can romp with. Size and breed don't seem to matter although she adores the other "pencil nosed" dogs in her foster home. She also deserves and must have humans that will be around her a lot. We realize that moms and dads need to work in order to buy the very best dogfood, etc. And some dogs don't mind hanging around the house waiting for their humans to come home. But an adolescent Collie is a bundle of fun just waiting to be unleashed. Hailey wants to go places and see things. So many wonderful smells out in the world and only 24 hours in a day to check them out. When you watch Hailey run, she is truly a thing of beauty. She stretches out and flies around the five fenced acres of her foster home. A typical suburban backyard would be too confining for Haillee. She needs to have room to pounce on imaginary critters and chase an occasional bunny. So we are looking for a potential home with property, away from the distractions and confusion of the city. Hailey can be overwhelmed by passing motorcycles, bicycles, runners and wildly barking dogs. When she is frightened, she can be reactive. So her humans must be smart and willing to work with her to make a complete forever family. We hate to disappoint people who apply for a particular dog but can't offer what that dog needs. The dogs and their requirements come first with us and we will only consider folks who will make a fabulous match with Hailey. We are blessed to have multiple applications for most of the dogs in our program and we work hard to make the best possible match for each precious life. Please begin the process for adoption by reading our Policies and Guidelines and, if we sound like the right group for you, proceed to the online Adoption Application. From there, our receipt of your completed application will be confirmed by email. You then will receive a follow-up phone call if we feel you are a good potential applicant for the dog. Lots of good conversation with the foster family, a reference from your veterinarian, and a home visit round out the screening process. We take dog adoption very seriously. Please put a lot of thought into why you want to adopt a dog, and help us make a good match for your family. We appreciate your taking the time to visit with us. We will look forward to hearing from you as well.
