Ok so not every animal is graced with a beautiful face!  While Bartholemew and his brother Barnabus might not be in the running to be on the cover of Cat Fancy we think these two are as precious as can be!  Both survivors of one of the strangest hoarding cases we have ever taken part in their personalities have really shown everyone they meet that its what is inside that matters.  Their previous life has left them with some permanent scars, missing fur and a few less teeth but their purrers still work and their eyes have so much love in them.  Bartholemew is the more quiet and reserved of the two brothers but still appreciates a good scratch behind his bare ears while Barnabus has lots to tell you all the time!  These two brothers love each other very much and would like to find a home where they can both be loved, appreciated and remain each others constant companions for the remainder of their lives.  The way they see it....from where they came from they only have up to go from here!  If you would like to meet the brothers and get to see what survivors look like please go to our website at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org to fill out the Cat Adoption Application and as always our adoption fee for felines is always free will to approved applicants.

About Emmet County Animal Shelter

About Our Shelter...

The ECAS is an all volunteer, no kill shelter. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome pets in need due to neglect, abandonment, abuse or from simply not being wanted! We started in 2010 due to a need in our community. We are currently a foster based organization and we are currently building our new shelter facility. We work hand in hand with other rescue and shelters in the area to help out when and where we are needed.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Check out all of our pets online at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org or send in an application to meet a specific pet! Once our shelter is open for operation stop in during our open hours to visit with a fuzzy friend in person.

Our Adoption Process...

All interested parties must fill out an adoption application and be approved prior to adoption. If a family has currently, or in the recent past had pets then a veterinary reference is required. If not then two personal references are required. Our adoption fees for dogs range from $150-$300. Our adoption fee for cats is free will donation. After an adoption has been approved an adoption contract must be signed.
