Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DOB May 19, 2007. Cassiopeia, nicknamed Piya, is a gorgeous cat, with thick, rich, soft gunmetal gray fur and burnished silver highlights in the shorter fur around her face, shoulders, chest, and front legs. She has lovely green eyes with a hazel spot on her left iris, like a 'beauty spot'. She is very conscious of her beauty so she is frequently grooming herself, curling up like a perfect headrest, or else sitting erect with her tail curled around her front paws, like an Egyptian goddess.
Her gentle, quiet, reserved personality makes her an ideal companion for a human or other cats. She is somewhat shy and retiring, preferring some high vantage point, or out of the way place, when there is too much going on around her. With other cats, she always makes her wishes known, but stands back waiting for the others to have their fun or food. She is easily picked up and handled, though she doesn't like being held tightly. Cassiopeia loves to come sit on your knee or in your lap, all the while being gently petted. She purrs gently but continually to express her contentment. She never complains vocally, snaps, scratches, or bites.
Though largely silent, she is quite vocal about expressing her needs with persistent chirping until you give her what she wants, whether it be food, water, or affection. Cassiopeia is a good eater with a slight preference for dry kibble over wet food. She just had dental surgery, losing both top incisors but still has no problem eating dry kibble, though you should probably watch her eating preferences over time.
Cassiopeia has an easy going and adaptable personality. She has very few needs and demands, and would be an ideal companion for someone who loves cats, and who would welcome the gentle company of this beautiful cat, who sparkles just like her namesake constellation in the dark blue night sky.
Thank you for welcoming a senior cat into your family - an adoption fee of your choice is appreciated versus our standard adoption fee of $175.
