Once in awhile a dog is surrendered by its owner for truly unfortunate circumstances. That is Bella's story, surrendered by a family who loves her so deeply yet has fallen on challenging times and they are forced to give her up. They've had her since she was a baby and we can't imagine their pain of letting her go. We have made the promise to find her a new family who will pick up where they leave off. We are looking for a very special home where Bella will be cherished and forever protected. True to her Dane heritage, Bella loves everyone -- dogs, kids, adults -- to her the whole world is a friend!! When the kids are in the backyard playing, she wants to be right in the middle and loves to give them hugs and kisses. She even gallops around with them. And, like many Danes, she's got that practical joker mischievous side that thinks the kitchen sink is actually her second food bowl; that thinks drinking from the toilet is just the perfect stop for a quick sip (it doesn't help when the kids in the family think that's hilarious and encourage her!!); that thinks a Queen size bed is the perfect size for Her Majesty. And sometimes her parents even let her share theirs -- she's just that much a member of the family. And whether it's leaning into you in the kitchen, cozying up to you on the couch, or walking right beside you, Bella loves to have body contact with her person. Bella is about 2 years old, she weighs 135- 140 pounds and she is a very healthy girl. We are hoping someone will take this beautiful girl into their hearts because we know she (and her family) will be eternally grateful.
