Daisey's Story...
Sweet Daisy is more like 6-7 Years old. We took her off rescueme/adoption list for a few days after receiving sad news at a vet appointment where we found out her hips/legs are worse than thought and she has been in pain for some time. Also, there is no way she is 4 years old - more like 6-7. She has lived with cats and various dogs, but due to her current health issues, she should only go to a home with NO dogs or small children. She has been in fights with several dogs thus far. However, Daisy is a very affectionate girl towards humans, esp. men and loves to cuddle on the coach and have her head in your lap. Her legs are oddly formed but she can walk and jump up on the sofa. She is a bit of a picky eater and loves cheese and meats. She's approx. 100 pounds. She's a princess and much prefers being pampered and babied than chased in the yard although there are burst of joyful romping about in the yard which is so cute. She looks like a baby deer hopping about and so joyful. She will be on pain meds. for her entire life. If you are interested in adopting and spoiling Daisy, please email us at saintsrgreat6@gmail.com or call Dawn at 610-787-2353. She is the perfect lazy homebody's pet! If I didn't already have two saints, I would keep her. Willing to transport if feasible (within reason) to the perfect home. She is currently in West Chester, PA.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Daisey, a Harrisburg St. Bernard dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a St. Bernard for sale in Harrisburg, or seeking a St. Bernard dog from a breeder in Harrisburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even St. Bernard breeders who help with St. Bernard rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
