Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Farfel's Rescue was notified by a compassionate rescuer in Texas that a strikingly beautiful, and sweet as can be, Tibetan Terrier/Cairn Terrier mix was scheduled for euthanasia in just a few days. The rescuer spoke of this 8 month old 15 lb pup as a gift of love.
She saw Harry as a wonderful and kind companion for a family with older kids - she was concerned that very young children would intimidate Harry if they treated him roughly. She also described him as a great friend to gentle canines...he would enjoy the playing, long walks together and hanging out at day's end. We took a look at Harry's sweet, yet frightened face staring out of the shelter photo (it spoke of difficult times)... and heard the reports of Harry's carefully wagging tail that spoke of a huge desire to trust and bond. We accepted Harry immediately into our rescue. He was removed from the shelter, vetted (perfectly healthy), temperament-tested (passed with flying colors) and brought to a nurturing family who will reinforce Harry's house skills and socialization while he waits for his transport to a new life in Colorado.
We've committed to finding Harry a committed and very loving family who will enjoy him for his devotion, sweetness and desire to please. Once Harry becomes comfortable in his surroundings, he is a friend that will make you laugh at his silly antics and want to hold him tight just because he's so incredibly cute!
We would love to see Harry in a home where he becomes a true member of the family. Retirees or individuals who work out of the house would be perfect for this sweet young guy. Harry tends to be a calm pup at this point who loves to settle into his person's lap and stay put with an occasional lick and a wag of delight at his good fortune. Harry would love long walks outdoors in the sunshine and is portable enough to bring along on every dog-friendly adventure.
Harry appears to be a non-shedding pup (we know that under the listless shelter hair..there's a gorgeous coat just waiting to grow). He will therefore require periodic baths/grooming and great nutrition to keep his beautiful coat silky and matt-free.
Harry will be arriving on transport in Boulder on 6/10/16. If interested in this sweet dog who is full of love and personality, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com or fax to 303-443-7730.
